Beads of Paradise has quickly become my favorite store in the city! The owner is incredibly friendly and personable, with a wealth of information on his products. I’m an enthusiast for Thai barang amulets and statues, and this store carries the most impressive collection I’ve seen in the States. Beyond the unique selection of curiosities, the staff is helpful and eager to share the stories and backgrounds of their items. I've never been to the shop, so I'm leaving a review from faraway Kansas City. I ordered a beaded curtain on a Sunday; the shop shipped it out the next morning. The curtain arrived in one piece and in perfect condition. It was easy to hang. But most importantly, the curtain is BEAUTIFUL and made with such quality craftsmanship and materials. Thank you Beads of Paradise for the most perfect piece I could imagine.

The shopaholic owner clearly travels worldwide shopping for inventory, which even for NYC has an amazing variety of origins, quality & price range for every pocket (I wish mine were deeper). Very engaged personnel!

I am an artist and I make one of a kind high end jewelry. this location is the BEST I have found in the 5 boroughs. The selection of incredibly unique and high quality pieces is unmatched. the customer service is exceptional-they greet everyone who comes in and ready to assist without being a hard sell. The store is expertly curated and even if you are not into beads there are plenty of other things to see and to purchase. I am born in NY and I am going to say this is one of my all time favorite shops I have ever been to. A+ and 5 star does not begin to cover it.

Great store with all varieties of beads, good luck amulets/charms, and beautiful art from around the world (including Africa, Mexico, and Asia)! I've been coming here for over 15 years. Good place for finding unique gifts for friends who "have everything".In the back you can have bead necklaces or bracelets made to order (can use your own or pay for extra beads and labor charge). Prices are reasonable. Great way to refresh an old necklace or family heirloom.I had a bead bracelet that broke. The staff was so helpful in helping me to find replacement beads and redesign the bracelet. They made it in one day. I couldn't be happier!

The only bead store in NYC I frequent because of the friendly staff, beautiful selection of precious gemstones & beads. I’ve purchased quite a few strands of gemstones here for necklaces. John was specifically so helpful to me. He took the time to explain the different properties of gemstones & pointed me in the right direction of one’s that suited my personal preferences. He had such a kind demeanor, which made my shopping experience so pleasant. I purchased three bracelets from him & came back to resize/change a clasp, which he did for free & in no time at all. Such a lovely experience from start to finish.

A one-of-a-kind shop with extraordinary customer service. Every single employee is so informed and eager to help, but they also give you space to take in the vast and eclectic selection. It's like a candy cornucopia for beaders, but also anyone interested in jewelry or beautiful objects. Reasonable prices and good sales. It's a heaven and a haven.

Beads of Paradise is a fun, quirky bead, jewelry, and jewelry-making store. Their staff is excellent. On my visit to NYC, Victoria helped me to fix a necklace I had made at a bead shop in Charlotte, NC. I wanted to wear it that weekend, and thought I was out of luck! However, Victoria was helpful in assessing my needed repair, gave me a couple of options to fix, and expected timeline. She was quick, accurate, completely knowledgable, and pleasant, and the necklace is back in business! I visited a few other bead stores looking for assistance in NYC, and couldn't find the selection or customer service that I found at Beads! Great shop. The other customers I noticed seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. A lady and her two daughters were there making a necklace. Several customers were checking out the antiques up front with another sales associate. Manager was on site and helpful! Yea, thank you Beads of Paradise. I also shared this review on Google because I was SO impressed!

Beautiful beads, always blown away by their collection. Ordered online and got my treasures earlier than I expected. The quality of each item is beyond compare. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the shop while walking through NYC eight years ago & even as i've moved down the coast to NC, they are my go to for all things magical!
