  • Camillus de Lelis or Camillo de Lellis ( 1550-1614 ) first devoted his life to arms, and after his conversion to the sick, was a priest and religious Italian , He was the founder of the Order of Camillians, a hospital order dedicated to the sick, and a forerunner of the Red Cross.
