Interested in making your own jewelry and the ability to repair and re-work your own? Our Findings Crash Course is the perfect place to get started. In a small and relaxed group setting, our lauded technique class will impart the skills you need to string jewelry on two popular materials, clasp your jewelry securely and professionally, and basic wire-wrapping techniques. We'll talk about approaches to design and materials and get comfortable using our hands in working with small materials and tools. From the skills you learn in class, you will come away with the know-how you need to get started on designing and repairing your own: tackle that bag of broken jewelry, re-create that overpriced piece from a magazine or pull design ideas straight from your imagination. Let us help you get started!

All you need to bring is yourself and any glasses that you may need when working with small materials - we provide everything else!

Please read on for class specifics and FAQs.

You will learn:

  • The standard tools, findings, and expert techniques used by our staff
  • How to string and clasp bracelets and necklaces using beading wire and crimps
  • How to string on silk thread and clasp using clamshells
  • How to transform any beads into beautiful earrings using wire and headpins

    You Will Take Home :
    • A necklace, bracelet, and pair of earrings
    • A one-time use 20% discount on full-priced merchandise valid for 1 month

Please register for your preferred date ahead of time, as the class has limited seating and we prepare the supplies in advance according to sign-ups. If you cannot make the date you scheduled, you can call or email and reschedule at no charge.

Class is for ages 12 and older (classes are mostly made up of adults), as sustained attention and patience are needed for this two+ hour class, in addition to fine motor skills.

We recommend that you arrive around 10 minutes prior to the start of class and bring along any glasses or visual aids that you may need in order to work with the small materials used in class.

Kindly include the participants' names in the "notes" section when signing up online so that we know who to expect. Thank you!

*So as to not compromise your or your classmates' learning experience, if you are 15 or more minutes late, you will need to reschedule (at no charge).
