Indian "White Heart" Bead Heirloom Tamba

"White Hearts" are a two layer hand wound bead made by creating a base bead of opaque white glass, and then hand winding a second layer or "skin" of red glass over the white base bead. This two layer process made the red layer even more luminous and deep. These smaller size beads were usually created in longer rods and then cut into smaller sizes while the bead was still hot.
This glorious Tamba Necklace was found among Naga People in Northern India
