  • Material: 95% Fine Silver
  • With 36" long leather cord
  • This is a very rare antique Sephardic Silver Jewish Amulet, with Hebrew inscription from North Africa.
  • Very well loved and worn surface, it dates circa late 1800's and it belonged to a Jewish Community most likely in Libya, Tunisia, or Algeria.
  • This special amulet's Hebrew's inscriptions are Kabbalah' acronyms.
  • Although heavily worn, still distinct are the words "Kara Satan" which means "Break [or, Rend] Satan", and was used to protect or assist one who has been attacked by demons. Kara Satan is mentioned in prayers used during Shabbat and High Holy Days, where the devout may wish for God's mercy to tear up an Evil Decree on past transgressions, that one may enter on a new path and new beginning of the week, the year, the future.
  • It's also known as The 42-Letter Name.
  • This name is related to Moshe and the burning bush. When God first appeared to Moshe, he asked by what name he should use to call the Infinite. God responded, “E’heye Asher E’heye,” which has been translated to “I will be as I will be.”
