They also traveled through the Cultural Trade Routes to Nepal and Tibet, where they were highly prized for their unusual colors, shapes and vivid patterns. These gorgeous trade beads became precious cultural heirlooms for their resemblance to locally valued prestige materials like Coral and Turquoise.
